Thank you for this. I am a member of a small 205 year old congregation in NW Philadelphia which has been deeply dedicated to studying our congregational history for

accountability issues- Truth, Reconciliation and Reparatiions Black and Native. When the first Reparations program in Philadelphia was launched by Green Street Friends the response to my question about including Native Americans on the path was “ but “they” weren’t chattel enslaved. The VA Slave Tax Codes helped to enlighten Social Justice leadership. It’s been an uphill struggle. A number of us, including our minister and a member with family Carlisle Boarding School history have been dedicated to our education , awareness, policy development and emergence of actionable programs.

Unfortunately Invisability and Erasure are visable problem.

Our Justice Council will now receive a regular educational email. The first was released yesterday.

This may be next.

We are hosting a viewing of Sugarcane on January 18th.

Hi Rebecca! Yes-all of this. I’ve been shocked by how our cishet friends are blind to what’s happening. It’s what’s always been happening.

How are we unable (or unwilling) to recognize the patterns in our short history as a country. The failures to hold ourselves accountable as a nation repeatedly after every turning point may finally be coming to a peak.

Trump2 was inevitable for a country that refuses to examine itself, admit fault and do effing better
